Mark & Meghan – Private Cabin in the Woods Wedding – Helena MT Wedding Photographers

Posted by on in Wedding Photography

Ok. Time for some honesty.

We. Have. The. Coolest. Couples.

Seriously. The coolest!!!!!!!

One weekend we’re taking pictures of 220 guests rocking out to The Mighty Flick (an awesome 80’s band) and the next weekend we’re documenting an incredibly intimate ceremony at a private cabin in the woods.

Each event is so perfect for each couple – and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE that!

Mark & Meghan’s wedding was the “ceremony at a private cabin in the woods” and it was ahhhhhmazing! They invited only their immediate families for the actual wedding ceremony, which meant that it was attended by about 25 people (including the bride and groom and the photographers;). Then an hour later THREE school busses showed up—with several hundred guests—who were sooooo excited to celebrate Mark & Meghan’s union! The eating and drinking and laughing and dancing and singing and glow-in-the-dark tambourine-ing then continued well into the night:)

It was obvious to us how thrilled everyone was for Mark & Meghan, and we had an absolute blast recording all of these moments for the happy couple!!

Mark & Meghan – thank you so much for asking us to be a part of your special day. We have sooooo many fun pictures to share with you guys – but first, your Sneak Peek!

Seth & Kristen – Kleffner Ranch Wedding – Helena, MT Photographers

Posted by on in Wedding Photography

Seth and Kristen got married last weekend at the gorgeous Kleffner Ranch in Helena, MT and we absolutely loved spending the day with them and their [super funny] friends and [wonderful happy-tear-filled] families. Impromptu Saturday Night live songs/skits and happy tears at furry nieces (aka tiny pup complete with fluffy pink hair bow) being held by the bride were just status quo for this group;)

And Seth and Kristin are one of those couples who just make you smile. They are so well-matched and they have a wonderful happily-ever-after story featuring world travels and different homes and colleges all over the country, until they met here in Seth’s hometown, at the Cool Dog Ball brew fest. As the story goes, Seth came home from the brew fest and told his dad he’d met “The One.” Yeah, for reals! Icing on the cake? On their first date they went snow showing [for 8 hours says Kristen…I’m not sure if that was said with excitement, or…erm, not-excitement, lol] and they saw a moose. Seth told Kristen that seeing a moose on a first date must be good luck. After witnessing the genuine emotions and love {and interpretive dancing} of this couple we’d have to say Seth’s right. Very good luck indeed:)

Seth & Kristen – it was a beautiful day and we felt so lucky to be a part of it! We can’t wait to show you the rest of you pictures – but in the meantime your Sneak Peek is READY! Woot woot!

Ryan & Chloe – Broken Hart Ranch – Bozeman, MT Wedding Photographers

Posted by on in Wedding Photography

Ryan and Chloe got married on a gorgeous July day at the Broken Hart Ranch in Bozeman, MT.  It was a day that was focused on honoring connections to their pasts, and it was filled with love and laughter and DANCING. Lots and lots of dancing:)

We were absolutely blown away by the details at this wedding!!  From the invitations that had been mailed using collections of vintage stamps, to the china place settings that were completely unique for each guest, to the tiny ring bearer suspenders that matched the groomsmens’, to the handmade flower chandelier in the outdoor chapel. It was ahhhhhmazing.

But, by FAR, my most favorite thing was Chloe’s wedding dress. It had been her mom’s wedding dress (how cool is THAT?!) and inside the bodice her grandma had embroidered Chloe’s parents names and wedding date. Now, thirty two years later, Chloe’s mom stitched Ryan & Chloe’s name and wedding date next to hers inside the bodice to bring this one of a kind detail full circle.  Awwww ***sniff sniff***!!

Everywhere you looked you could see the love and attention that Chloe and her mom poured into this event. But what made this event truly special was the obvious love of Ryan and Chloe for each other, and the joy their family and friends showed in their marriage celebration. We also felt a special connection to this wedding as it’s the second wedding we’ve been asked to document for the Hagener family! Ryan’s sister Kirstin was one of our 2012 brides and it was on her recommendation that Chloe called us to enquire about our photography.   Noooooothing gives me warm fuzzies like being asked to work with a family again to document another one-in-a-lifetime event!!

Ryan & Chloe, it was absolutely beautiful day!  Thank you so much for asking us to be a part of it. We loved every minute:)

OK peeps, you know what this means, it’s time for another Scott vs. Megan Contest! Woot woot!!
