As I sit here and watch the snow swirling outside my window today (brrrrrr!) it’s kind of crazy to think that we took these fabulous fall engagement pictures less than a week ago. (though I can’t say I’m completely surprised since that’s pretty classic Montana weather for ya;) But we’ll take the gooooorgeous fall days when we can get them—and this was definitely one of them! The trees were still filled with fabulous color, the sun was shining in a perfectly blue sky, and there was just enough “crisp” in the air to let us know it was **really** fall. To just put things over the edge, as we stood below the trees the small wind gusts would bring gentle leaf showers down around us. [I kid you not, I was practically swooning] And then you throw in my fabulous couple Dan & Victoria, lots of laughter, and a few, ahem, off-roading adventures and you have the perfect session. Perfect!!!!
Dan & Victoria have known each other since they were tiny, but it was only years & years later when Dan was close to being done with his service in the Marines that these two became a couple. Now they are planning their 2014 wedding in Lincoln and it’s pretty dang obvious how great these guys are together. I loved their laughter, I loved the easy way Dan would pull Victoria just that extra bit closer to him, I loved the way Victoria’s head snuggled in *just so* on Dan’s shoulder. Oh oh oh!
It always makes me excited to photograph one of my couples for the first time and to come away knowing we are going to have SUCH a great time working together. [this was definitely one of those times!] And being super-y duper-y psyched about the pictures is just icing on the cake. [mmmhmm, these pics are deeeeeefinitely icing!]
Dan & Victoria – I had SUCH a great time hanging out with you guys and I’m sooooo excited for your wedding (and these pictures – eeeek!)!! Can’t wait to show you the rest!:)
