I got to spend almost an entire week in November in San Diego at a national photography conference and I don’t even know where to start with the amazingness of it all…. I got to connect with incredible photographers from all over the country—including my so-so-fun roomies Rene Sprink, Lauren Mann, Shari Zellers, and Suzanne Tenuto. I got to take an incredible (seriously incredible) lighting workshop from Zach & Jody Gray. I got to attend an awesome business workshop from Jared Bauman (and now I have soooo many ideas for improving the business side of MLP that I almost don’t know where to start…!). We hung out at the Hard Rock Hotel, attended tons of thought-provoking classes, took lots (and LOTS) of notes, and talked late into the night about photography, photography, and more photography. We even spent a couple hours walking around downtown San Diego one afternoon taking pictures of each other (because as the person *behind* the lens we hardly EVER get pictures of ourselves taken!). AND I got to connect with my dear friend Molly (Hoyne) Mahar for dinner one night—totally unexpected and TOTALLY wonderful! I had SO much fun and learned SO much. It was incredible.
Here’s one of my favorite shots taken by the fabulous Suzanne Tenuto during our little afternoon photo shoot:
And a super fun shot of me & the girls. Don’t we look like we are having SO much fun?? (yeah, we were:)
(and did I use enough ALL CAPS throughout this post…hmmmm, perhaps…:)
