Josh & Brittani – Cathedral of St Helena and Civic Center Wedding – Helena, MT Wedding Photographers
I remember getting the call from Brittani about her wedding photography last year right around New Year’s Eve – and I also remember immediately hitting it off with her! I was so excited to hear that she remembered us from her cousin Kaela’s wedding (another Fort Benton connection, he-ey!) and I loved that she and her fiancé Josh were planning a Friday wedding (after almost ten years in business this was our first Friday wedding!).
And what a wedding it was. From the biggest decisions to the smallest details it was a day so full of meaning and love. For instance, the Cathedral is the church that Brittani grew up in, so seeing that incredible space packed full of Josh & Brittani’s friends and family absolutely gave me chills. And this level of personal history and meaning was found right down to Brittani’s veil, which was the same one worn by her mom (I mean, awwww!!!). As her mom adjusted her veil one of the bridesmaids exclaimed, “Wow, thirty years of good juju Brit!” à Pret.ty incredible!
Throughout the day it was obvious how much Josh & Brittani’s are loved and how very very happy their family and friends are for these two. It makes our jobs so fun and easy when the bride and groom are surrounded by so many supportive and happy people, and icing on the cake was seeing so many familiar faces and getting so many hugs from our former couples (and their parents!).
Josh & Brittani – thank you so much for asking us to document your wedding day. It was truly an honor and we loved every minute we got to spend with you two!! We can’t wait to share alllllll of your pictures with you, but until then, enjoy this Sneak Peek! xxo

Justin and Andrea got married at one of our very favorite wedding venues, Kleffner Ranch here in Helena, MT. They planned a day filled with meaningful details and thoughtful touches, and we were blown away by the happiness and kindness of everyone involved in the wedding – from all of their family members to all of the guests. It was truly a day filled with laughter and joy.
Bonus points for all were awarded due to the fact that none of us melted during the triple digit temps – hurray! {Andrea and I joked that day that we have now braved the two extremes of Montana weather together, since her & Justin’s engagement session featured sideways snow and temps in the high teens/low twenties, lol.} But a little bit of hot [or cold] weather was not going to keep this couple down! As you can see from the pictures, it was a gorgeous day from beginning to end and we had SO much fun capturing these pictures.
Justin & Andrea – congrats on your wedding! We felt so honored to spend the day with you and we can’t wait to show you alllllll of your pictures. Until then, enjoy this Sneak Peek!

Read MoreTom & Arynn – Cathedral of St. Helena and Kleffner Ranch Wedding – Helena MT Wedding Photography
Ok, I’m going to be totally honest here: I’ve been excited for this wedding since the very first meeting Arynn and I had together. I knew immediately that we were kindred spirits who lurve us some organization (binders FTW!) and are most happy when embracing our Type A-ness:) :)
I also found it serendipitous that our family histories go waaaaaaay back: my dad and Arynn’s dad were fraternity brothers and my mom and Arynn’s mom were teachers together. But we didn’t know that when we were first meeting! Crazy, right?!
Anyway, needless to say, Arynn and I had many bonding moments over the next year-ish – including looooots of texts, a few 2:00 am emails, and a [brutally] windy engagement session (where Tom and Arynn were pretty much the best sports ever!). So I went into this wedding day knowing it was going to be amazing.
And boy was I right!!! Leading up to the wedding Arynn had planned all of the details meticulously, but on her wedding day she and Tom were fully immersed in the moment. They laughed {and cried} and hugged and danced [and completely ignored the fact that the wind was nearly hurricane force that day – legit, it was crazy]. And Scott and I watched and grinned behind our cameras to see their sheer joy and happiness AND the joy and happiness of all their friends and family for this couple. You could literally FEEL the love filling the Cathedral the Kleffner barn.
{{{there were also some shenanigans and a couple epic leisure suits – which, if those don’t make a wedding better I don’t know what will! ;)}}}
Tom & Arynn – we couldn’t be happier for you guys. Your day was beautiful and we are SO EXCITED to share these pictures with you!! Loooooots more to come, but until then we hope you enjoy this Sneak Peek!

Josh & Allison planned an elegant celebration for their fall wedding in Helena, Montana – and they spent that long-awaited day surrounded by family and friends from all over the country. The bride and the groom both grew up in the South, but their families have since moved to the Helena area and we could tell how much Josh & Allison and their parents were enjoying hosting everyone in their new hometown!
It seemed that every detail had been thought of in this beautiful wedding. The bride got ready in the Bridal Suite at the historic Barrister Bed & Breakfast with her mom and maid of honor. The traditional full-mass ceremony was held in the stunning Cathedral of St. Helena, and The Montana Club hosted the evening of dinner and dancing (soooo much dancing!:).
After our engagement session {{where these two braved TONS of snow and suuuuuch cold temperatures without a single complaint!}} I knew we were going to have a blast capturing this wedding day. And I was right!! From the toasting and the dancing to the eating and the laughter, it all made for an unforgettable day.
Josh & Allison – we couldn’t be happier for you two! We loved capturing these memories for you and we can’t wait to show you the rest SOON!!:)

Kyle & Kayla are a couple that we’ve known for years and years, and I can’t even tell you what an honor it is to be asked by amazing people to capture the amazingly important moments in their lives.
{{{{{{{alllllllll the goosebumps guys, allllll the goosebumps!!!}}}}}
From the very beginning these guys said that they wanted a relaxed, intimate celebration for their wedding—one that had a “backyard BBQ party” feel. They wanted to spend their time connecting with their guests and enjoying their day, not stressing or having things being too scheduled.
That vision came to life and THEN some in this gorgeous celebration!
They searched high and low for the perfect venue and the final winner, The Flatwater Lodge on the Missouri river, was STUNNING and oh-so-perfect for this couple. It wouldn’t work for a large (or super formal) wedding, but for a smaller, informal wedding it was ab-so-lute-ly perfect! Scott and I were also super impressed by all of the details that had been lovingly handcrafted by Kyle & Kayla’s families: a handmade cookie tree, popcorn cart, wooden lanterns, hand-painted signs. Everywhere you looked there was another personal detail! I also loved the many nods to Kyle [obsession;)] and Kayla’s [love] of hunting, from the antlers and sheds decorating the ceremony location, to the antler broach Kayla gave to Kyle on the wedding morning to wear in place of a boutonniere.
All in all this was a day so filled with love and laughter that I found myself smiling all the way home—that much happiness just filled my heart right up to the very tippy top.
Kyle & Kayla – thank you for sharing your special day with us. We couldn’t be happier for the two of you and we loved every moment we got to spend with you!!
And if you’re friends or family to Kyle & Kayla we’ll have sooooo many more amazing images to share with you SOON – eeeeeek!!! Can’t wait! :) :)
