I’m happy to report that we kicked off our 2014 wedding season last week! It was a stunning June day for Steve and Davina’s wedding: the weather could not have been more perfect and the event itself was beautiful from start to finish. I know Davina has been planning this day for a loooooong (long:) time, and that planning was obvious in all of the details: from the date engraved inside Steve’s wedding band and Davina’s “something blue” Manolo Blahniks, to the three foot cake and the custom chocolate bar wrappers, to the personalized M&M’s and the “Davina & Stavina” cocktails, it was obvious a LOT of thought had gone into every aspect of their event!
The day started at the Barrister Bed & Breakfast in the Barrister Suite. Which was the perfect getting ready location since the windows in the suite looked out over The Cathedral of St. Helena (the church in which Steve & Davina would be saying their vows in just a few short hours!). The Cathedral is a Helena landmark and it’s widely known for its stunning architecture. It’s always an impressive setting for a wedding and we absolutely love shooting there! After the ceremony, guests filled the Last Chance Trolley, which was waiting to take them to the Montana Club for the reception. There guests were treated to a cocktail hour with delicious hors d’oeuvres followed by a four course meal; and then Steve and Davina’s family and friends hit the dance floor! We always love it when guests are having a blast because it makes our job sooooo easy. From the lobster claw dance moves, to the photo booth shenanigans (and even the inadvertent nose-picking photo) there was plenty to keep our cameras busy (and plenty to keep us laughing). I think it’s safe to say that everyone had a great time celebrating Steve & Davina’s marriage (and we just so happen to have the photos to prove it;).
