I first met Zach & Ashley when we got to do their awesome outdoor engagement session here in Helena (see those pics HERE), but Scott and Zach have known each other for years and years (allllll the way back to when Zach was one of Scott’s track athletes:). So to be asked to capture Zach & Ashlee’s special day was especially awesome!
These two planned a beautiful winter wedding at the iconic Helena Civic Center. They held both their ceremony and reception at the Civic Center (since ooooobviously February in Montana = COLD;) but we also lucked out with a sunny, above zero day so we were also able to get some outdoor pictures – woot! We spent our time outside in the Great Northern Town Center area since Ashley was getting ready with all of her girls at the Great Northern Hotel (which, super shout out to the desk staff at the hotel: Ashley had a room with french doors leading out to the pool area which was cool, but it meant there was zero natural light…not exactly the greatest for pictures. When I asked the front desk if there was an empty room we could use for about an hour they COMPLETELY hooked us up! Soooo super nice of them!).
Several hundred people came to celebrate the big day with Zach & Ashlee and from all of the laughter and hugs in the room you could tell that everyone was so happy to be celebrating with this couple.
