Ryan & Chloe – Broken Hart Ranch – Bozeman, MT Wedding Photographers

Posted by in Wedding Photography

Ryan and Chloe got married on a gorgeous July day at the Broken Hart Ranch in Bozeman, MT.  It was a day that was focused on honoring connections to their pasts, and it was filled with love and laughter and DANCING. Lots and lots of dancing:)

We were absolutely blown away by the details at this wedding!!  From the invitations that had been mailed using collections of vintage stamps, to the china place settings that were completely unique for each guest, to the tiny ring bearer suspenders that matched the groomsmens’, to the handmade flower chandelier in the outdoor chapel. It was ahhhhhmazing.

But, by FAR, my most favorite thing was Chloe’s wedding dress. It had been her mom’s wedding dress (how cool is THAT?!) and inside the bodice her grandma had embroidered Chloe’s parents names and wedding date. Now, thirty two years later, Chloe’s mom stitched Ryan & Chloe’s name and wedding date next to hers inside the bodice to bring this one of a kind detail full circle.  Awwww ***sniff sniff***!!

Everywhere you looked you could see the love and attention that Chloe and her mom poured into this event. But what made this event truly special was the obvious love of Ryan and Chloe for each other, and the joy their family and friends showed in their marriage celebration. We also felt a special connection to this wedding as it’s the second wedding we’ve been asked to document for the Hagener family! Ryan’s sister Kirstin was one of our 2012 brides and it was on her recommendation that Chloe called us to enquire about our photography.   Noooooothing gives me warm fuzzies like being asked to work with a family again to document another one-in-a-lifetime event!!

Ryan & Chloe, it was absolutely beautiful day!  Thank you so much for asking us to be a part of it. We loved every minute:)

OK peeps, you know what this means, it’s time for another Scott vs. Megan Contest! Woot woot!!

Todd & Desta – Bozeman MT Wedding Pictures – Helena MT Wedding Photographer

Posted by in Wedding Photography

Last weekend we were in Bozeman for Todd & Desta’s wedding—and from the moment Desta started giving me details about their fabulous event months ago I knew that we were in for something really special and unique. From the “hay rides” to the ceremony site for ALL the guests, to the view of the Bozeman valley and the “M” through an incredible hand-made arch, to the duck race down the irrigation ditch, all the way to the oh-so-clever made-with-love details that were *everywhere* and to, my personal fave, the dancing upstairs in the big red barn on Desta’s parents farm. Can I just say “w.o.w.” I would also like to say that Desta & Todd are seriously fun to be around, and we felt incredibly welcomed and appreciated not only by them, but also by both of their families. All in all it was a pretty incredible day! This was also a Megan & Erica wedding (since Scott was off hunting for opening weekend of archery season:)—so instead of an S vs. M Contest this week we have an M vs. E Contest!!! Woot! If you don’t know the drill: you vote for your favorite image by commenting on that picture—and big bragging rights are on the line people so bring on the votes!!:)

Brandon & Breanna – Riverside Country Club Wedding Pictures – Bozeman MT Wedding

Posted by in Wedding Photography

Since the first time I talked on the phone with Breanna waaaaay back last fall, I knew we were going to have sooooo much fun working together. And from all of the chats we’ve had since then, to the awesome engagement session we had this winter, all the way through their beautiful wedding last weekend, well, basically, I was SO right!:) Brandon & Breanna are just really awesome people—we loved being with them on their big day and felt lucky to be a part of capturing their memories. Of course, we have to say a little shout-out to their great families and super fun wedding party for being so welcoming and helpful and willing to do anything for this special couple to make their day awesome. And it WAS awesome! Thanks so much to you all for letting us be a part of this special day. OK, so I know the two newlyweds are on their honeymoon so they may not be able to chime in for this week’s S vs. M Contest, but I know the rest of you are excited to see their pics! So, without further ado, I declare this week’s S vs. M Contest open for voting!! [For the S vs. M newbies, it’s pretty easy: just cast your vote for your favorite image by commenting on that picture:)] Happy voting!
