Miss A – Newborn Pictures – Helena, MT Baby Photographer
There are some babies I call “my MLP Babies” because I’ve known their parents for years and years and I’ve captured so many memories for them over the years (usually starting with their Engagement pictures and Wedding pictures:). So it never fails to thrill me when I get a call from another one of our wedding couples letting me know that their family is growing that they’d like me to capture these memories of their baby for them.
All the goosebumps you guys, allllllllll the goosebumps. {{{heart emoji’s for daaaaays}}}
Miss A is definitely one of my MLP Babies (and I was ironically being hired by Melissa’s mom AND Melissa at the same time for almost the exact same pictures, lol, but since her mama was trying to set up a Christmas surprise I worked hard to keep Melissa from booking until AFTER Christmas – whew!).
By the time Miss A made it to the studio she proved that she’s already a PRO at pictures – a sweeter, snugglier, squishier baby there never was. For reals. !!
And guess what? Her Mommy & Daddy are just as ga-ga for her as I was.
Shocker;)
So now you guys get a glimpse of this sweet newborn perfection.
You’re welcome:-)
{{don’t you just wish you could nuzzle right in there between her cheek and shoulder to get a smell of that nothing-more-special-in-the-whole-world newborn smell **ohhhh…..swoon**}}
Dan & Melissa – your sweet girl is beyond precious. I’m so so happy for you guys. And I’m sooo excited we get to capture more pictures in this upcoming year!! YAY! Big big hugs to all three of you!:)

Once upon a time (in 2012) Scott and I photographed a gorgeous wedding at Lakeside Ranch. It was an amazing day filled with love and laughter and we had so much fun working with James & Ashley and their family and friends.
Soooooo when I got the call from Ashley this fall telling me that she and James were PREGNANT – with TWINS – after a long journey to become parents…!!!! Ya’ll – I’m not going to lie. I got a little teary-eyed! We too know what it’s like to wait and wait for the blessing of a baby, and we too know the joy of TWINS! Eeeeeeek!
And then Ashley told me that they wanted ME to take their newborn pictures {and I *may* have done a little hop for excitement}. Thank goodness I had done my own boys’ newborn session when we brought them home – because, let me tell ya, twin newborn sessions are not for the faint of heart!
But these two cuties came to the MLP studio and ROCKED their session. Legit – rocked it.
While Mr. G was awake and loving life, Miss G was sleeeeeeephy and squishy. And then when Miss G woke up for a snack, Mr. G was most accommodating and fell into a deep sleep.
This photog was NOT going to complain about that;)
And now, it is my distinct honor to present G & G in their worldwide debut {cue alllllllll the up-tilting “awwww’s”}.
I truly don’t know what I love most about this photo – Miss G’s peeeeerfectly round tiny tummy, her little hands laying *just so*, or the negative space that emphasizes her sweet newborn tiny-ness.
#lovelovelove
And did I mention squishy?!?
Sooooo squishy:)
A bit of lace, a bit of yawn….
And – FTW! – we’ll wrap up Miss G’s time with a scrumptious newborn smile!
Now for the little Mister.
Why, hello Handsome, I’m so glad you came to play!
Chunk.a.monk.
Yes pleeeeeease!
The blessings are in the details
Aaaaaand, we’re gone.
Gone pecan.
Gonzo for this guy {AND his sweet sis}.
Ashley & James – I couldn’t be happier for you two. Your babies are as sweet as can be, and they are so lucky to be a part of your family! Wishing you sleep at night and blessings in the day. **big hugs**

Perfection is a newborn baby.
Their squishy tininess.
Their softest-of-soft wispies of hair.
That sweet smell of the back of their neck when they nestle in **just so.**
Ohhhhh.
Yes. Perfection.
And this perfect little Miss has been MUCH awaited – not only by her fabulous family but also by ME! Because this is not the first time I’ve photographed this family – oh no! I’m the lucky girl who has captured memories for them since their little Mister was just turning one:) In fact, I last saw them for maternity pictures – SUCH fun!!
And now it’s time for little Miss J to have her very own turn in the spotlight.
I’m telling ya – peeeeeerfection.
We started with some family pictures, where Big Sis proved that she’s already an expert in big sister sweetness…!
And Little Mister showed off his new oh-so-soft big brother pats-skills.
Then it was time for a Mommy Snuggle.
{{{See???? Sooooo squishy}}}
And then it was Miss J’s time to shine!
She put up a **bit** of a fight against falling asleep, but when she finally settled down it was…
– yep! –
perfection :)
Of course, no newborn session would be complete without some sleepy shenanigans!
Back to sleep sweet girl………..
And to end the session, Miss J hit a grand slam with THE most perfect newborn smile ev-ah!!
My job, it’s rough people, rough. !!
:) :) :)
Sending sooooo much love to you M Family!!! I can’t wait for our next shoot! :) :) xxo

Read MoreBaby B – 6 Month Pictures – Helena, MT Baby Photography
This smiley little guy first stole a piece of my heart when his mommy told me the joyous news that she was pregnant. I cried happy happy tears and gave her the biiiiiiigest hug and tried to image what this special baby might look like….
Since then there have been many prayers and one maternity session and one baby shower and many joyful updates – then our own arrival of the twins! And now we have boys that are only a few weeks apart (so I know in the future there will be LOTS of playing for the boys – along with coffee [&/or adult beverages;)] for the mommies, heehee) and lives that are SO full of baby snuggles and diapers and giggles.
Life is good:)
As for his six-month photo session, Mr. B was kind enough to bring his entire bag of tricks: rolling over and smiling and drooling and smiling and down dog yoga posing and smiling and shirt/hair/beard pulling and SMILING.
Did I mention smiling?
And this photographer spent the entire session grinning right back (sometimes, after a shoot like this, my cheeks actually hurt…and I wonder “what in the world did I do to make my face hurt???” and then I remember the cuteness-which-made-me-grin-like-a-crazy-fool for an entire hour without stopping – and then it alllll makes sense;)
Mr. B – I love you. And I’m so glad you came to play!
Come back soon, ok??:)
“Hi Dad!!!! You’re my favorite guy EVER!!!!!!”
“My mommy’s alllllways a kissin on me. And I love it!”
Happy happy family:)
Boo to YOU, Mr-Cutie-Magoo!
I. Am. Such. A. Sucker. For. Miniature. Overalls!!!!!!
And baby tootsies.
Especially when they come with **dimpled** baby hands.
Ack!!!!! :) :)
Such concentration.
Such lashes!!
Oh.
!!!
Sweet serious baby faces make my heart go pitter-pat.
This is a two-part picture:
How to Explore Your World in 6-Month Style
Part I
Part II
[cue me giggling]
And now for the EXCITED FACE!!
{Nailed it buddy. You toooootally nailed it;)}
Not to be outdone by the “Dad is about to tickle me!!!!!!!!” face :)
Erika & Chad – it’s always fun taking pictures with you guys, especially when I get to smooch on your little man while we’re at it!! Can’t wait for you guys to get these up on your walls – yay! xxo ~M

I just…I just can’t you guys.
This one is making me tear up and I haven’t even started writing it yet…….!
OK.
Whew:)
Back story:
Nick & Sarah got married four years ago and we were lucky enough to be their photographers. They were awesome. Their wedding was awesome. They even sent us an awesome thank you note afterwards! (which, yes, I still have it thankyouverymuch)
And then I got an email from Sarah a few months ago. They needed to have some pictures taken because they were in the process of pursuing an ADOPTION. Yes, seriously. And I got goosebumps allllll over (if you don’t know why the adoption thing would give me goosebumps click HERE and you can read all about it;).
You see, sometimes this adoption boat can feel pretty lonely. And the infertility boat is pretty much always lonely. We spent years in the limbo of infertility and then a year and a half waiting for our adoption, and when Sarah contacted me they had also exhausted the infertility circus and had spent almost a year and a half on the adoption journey as well. So to have someone who has been there – who IS there – is pretty crazy. Sarah and I talked for over an hour – because we both totally and completely understood. Everything….
But while we had recently brought home the twins, Nick and Sarah were still waiting.
And the waiting is particularly awful:(
Fast forward two months. I got a text from Sarah. And a picture of a gorgeous newborn baby girl.
A. Picture. Of. A. Baby. Girl.
OOOOOOHHHHHEEEEEMMMMMMGEEEEEEEE!!!!
I’m pretty sure Scott thought I had *completely* lost it as I squealed at the phone and shook it around and shed happy tears.
And now Nick & Sarah are in this same amazing adoption boat as us. So in love with our babies. Feeling so much love and respect for our birth momma’s and birth families. Looking at the world through eyes that are a bit dazed – because…baby(ies). Baby(ies)!!! And love. And gratitude. And thanksgiving. And joyful messiness. And sleep deprivation. And snuggles. And love. So so much love.
And now I’m truly crying. Big hot tears dripping on my lap as I type.
{big hot happy happy tears}
Because. Because all of this.
Whew.
And this little face. Oh! She is so special and so incredibly loved. And I got to hold her and marvel at her tiny fingers and perfect nose and tons of hair.
And I got to take these pictures. The greatest honor you guys. Such an honor.
Nick and Sarah – there truly aren’t words. But I know you understand that.
So I’ll say it with pictures.
Sending you all my love M Family. ~ xxo
